Public Comment Sought for 2018 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
The Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD) is proud to announce that our 2018 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is now ready for final review and comment from the public. The CEDS can be found on CNEDD’s website at: www.cnedd.org The development of this 5-year strategy has been a year-long process, and we want to thank the 310 participants across our region who provided input through numerous surveys and town hall meetings held in each of our 14 counties. During this year-long process CNEDD partnered with area citizens to identify problems and opportunities, define the vision and goals of the region, and design strategies to accomplish goals for the region’s future. Through partnerships, the goals and objectives are to formulate and implement programs that will lead to the creation of higher-skill, higher-wage jobs; raise income levels; diversify the economy; and improve the quality of life, while protecting the environment. We hope you will take a few minutes to review the 2018 CNEDD Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, and encourage you to provide public comment by Thursday, May 17, 2018. Your comments may be provided by mail to Judy Petersen, CNEDD Executive Director, P.O. Box 201, Chambers, NE 68725, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org CNEDD proudly serves the Central Nebraska counties of: Blaine, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, Keya Paha, Loup, Rock, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler.
