Ever heard of the Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD), and wonder… what we can do for you and your community?  Well, we’d like to share some information about who we are and how we can help.

Since CNEDD was formed in 2003, CNEDD and our non-profit partner, CNED Inc., have generated over $9.3 million for housing development and improvements, $2.8 million for community improvement projects, and $1.4 million for business development.

Central Nebraska is the best place to live, work, and raise a family.  We have a tremendous quality of life, and CNEDD is here to help spread the word about what’s great about living in Central Nebraska.  In 2017, CNEDD will be working to enhance business and entrepreneurial opportunities for our young people, and help to recruit people to our communities.  We also want to enhance business expansion opportunities, and play a key role in expanding housing for our workforce.

CNEDD is a quasi-governmental agency that partners with people in our 14-county region to bring housing, community and business development funds and opportunities to Central Nebraska. Our Council of Officials is made up of representatives from each of our dues-paying counties and communities, and we work together to create the greatest opportunities for your community through programs and services that we provide.

If you or someone you know wants to learn more about starting a business, or improving your community, or creating housing in your town – just give us a call or visit our website at  We’re here to help make you and your community’s dreams come true!  You will also find us on Facebook and Twitter, and Linked In under Judy Petersen.

CNEDD is one of eight development districts across the state, and we serve the following counties – Blaine, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, Keya Paha, Loup, Rock, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler – Central Nebraska – Good Life/Great Opportunities!!
